API 5CT J55 Tubing Pipe

J55 is available for selected oil well tubing applications where the required mechanical properties, pressure, temperature and corrosion conditions fall within the approved design basis.

ELITE can quote J55 tubing in common production sizes with NUE or EUE connections. Matching couplings, thread protectors, marking, export packing and inspection documents can be included in the supply scope.
For quotation, send the tubing OD, nominal weight, connection, length range and quantity. Grade selection should follow the well design rather than price alone.

API 5CT N80-1 and N80-Q Tubing

N80 tubing is available in N80 Type 1 and N80-Q product forms. The required product form should be stated in the RFQ because the manufacturing and heat-treatment routes are not the same.

Available supply options include common NUE and EUE tubing configurations, matching couplings and project-specific inspection requirements.
A complete N80 tubing enquiry should specify:

API 5CT L80 Tubing

L80 is not a single universal material option. The RFQ should identify the required product type, such as L80 Type 1 or L80-13Cr, together with the applicable service conditions

L80 Type 1 and L80-13Cr should not be treated as interchangeable. L80-13Cr is commonly considered where resistance to CO₂-related corrosion is required, but its suitability must be evaluated against the complete produced-fluid chemistry, temperature, chloride level and H2S exposure.
Send the well environment and material specification with the enquiry. ELITE will quote only against the stated grade and service requirements.

2⅞-Inch EUE Tubing

The 2⅞-inch EUE configuration is widely requested for production, workover and artificial-lift strings. A complete purchase description must include more than the outside diameter and connection.

A request for “2⅞-inch EUE tubing” is incomplete unless the nominal weight, grade, range and quantity are also stated.

EUE and NUE Tubing Connections

EUE means External Upset End. The tubing end is externally upset before threading, producing a larger end section and an EUE connection profile.
NUE means Non-Upset End. The tubing end is not externally upset, giving the finished connection a different outside profile and dimensional arrangement.

EUE and NUE are not interchangeable. The tubing body, threaded end and coupling must all match the ordered connection.
When replacing an existing tubing string, confirm:

Coupling OD and length
Pin-end dimensions
Existing drift requirement
Do not select EUE or NUE only from the tubing OD. Check the previous purchase specification or connection marking before ordering.

Tubing for CO₂ and H₂S-Containing Environments

Material selection for a corrosive production well must be based on the actual service environment. Provide the H2S partial pressure, CO₂ partial pressure, chloride content, temperature, pressure, water cut, pH and applicable project standard.

L80-13Cr may be considered for selected CO₂-containing environments, subject to a full corrosion and cracking assessment. It should not automatically be specified for H2S service.
Where sour-service tubing is required, the purchaser must identify the applicable material, hardness, testing and environmental requirements in the RFQ.

1.Which sizes and lengths do you supply?

We supply tubing OD 1.66″–4½”. Standard lengths are R1, R2, and R3; custom lengths are available on request.

2.Which steel grades are available?

H40, J55, K55, N80-1, N80-Q, L80-1, L80-9Cr, L80-13Cr, P110, and Q125 in accordance with API 5CT/ISO 11960.

3.What thread types can I choose?

EUE (External Upset End) and NUE (Non-Upset End) are standard. Special connections can be quoted on request.

4.Do you comply with API 5CT and ISO 11960?

Yes. Manufacturing and inspection follow API 5CT/ISO 11960. Threads follow API 5B where applicable.

5.Can you provide certificates and tests?

Yes. Mill Test Certificates (MTC) and NDT reports are provided. Third-party inspection can be arranged.

6.What is the drift requirement for your tubing?

Drift is per API 5CT for the ordered size and grade. Specific drift mandrel data can be provided with the quote.

7.What coatings and protection are available?

Black varnish is standard. FBE/3PE and other anti-corrosion options are available based on the well environment. Thread protectors and end caps are supplied.

8.Do you supply couplings?

Yes. Matching EUE/NUE couplings are available in the same grades, including 13Cr options.

9.Is sour-service (H₂S/CO₂) tubing available?

Yes. L80-13Cr and other sour-service grades are available. Share your environment data for a recommendation.

10.How do I select the right grade and thread?

Selection depends on pressure, temperature, corrosion (H₂S/CO₂), and make-up/handling needs. We can recommend a spec based on your well parameters.

11.What are typical tolerances?

Dimensional tolerances follow API 5CT for OD/WT/length and API 5B for thread gauging. Detailed tolerances are listed in our datasheet.

12.What packing and marking do you use?

Bundles or racks with end caps, thread protectors, and steel/wooden supports; markings follow API and project requirements, with heat number traceability.

13.What is the usual lead time and MOQ?

Common sizes may be ex-stock or short lead time. Standard production is typically 2–6 weeks; MOQ depends on size/grade.

14.Can you customize specifications?

Yes—special lengths, weights, coatings, premium connections, and project packing can be customized.
